Information for disabled
visitors
(Click

The park has full disabled access, and almost all
areas can reached by wheelchair users. (The only exception being
the Canadian Otter Hide).
All our paths are laid out with gravel, which is compacted
down, giving suitable access for wheelchairs and childrens buggies.
The site is on generally level ground, sloping down to the Fun Farm
and the Falconry Field. There is a slightly steeper slope on the
way back from the farm area coming up through Parrot Jungle.
Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available
in both the main park area, and in the new JungleBarn play area.
The JungleBarn also has a lift allowing disabled visitors access
to the mezzanine area along with the upstairs party rooms.
All entrance and exit doors are suitable for wheelchair
users, and the seating areas in the main cafe allow for wheelchair
use - i.e. tables and chairs are not fixed in position.
We do have two wheelchairs for visitors to borrow,
and in summer we suggest booking these in advance. There are also
reserved car parking spaces directly outside the main entrance to
the park. Again, in the high season, these can get used up quickly.
Guide dogs can be brought into the park, but we do
ask visitors to notify in advance.
