PARROT PAMPERIING Weekend - Come and join in and help the keepers make toys for the parrots!

Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July

Staff will be running a workshop on both days from 1 to 2pm where you can meet the Park’s parrot keepers and make toys for parrots from items such as fruit, seeds, honey, fresh branches, hemp rope, pine cones and even paper bags and old eggs boxes.  These help the birds to feed and play, keeping their beaks busy while they forage for favourite treats and encouraging them to try unusual foods.

While you meet parrots up close at the Rainbow Lorikeet feeding time, right after the workshop at 2pm, the keepers will put the toys out into aviaries so you can see how they like your creations.
