Louise H Memorial Trophy

Pictured here is Gemma Hole, the first recipient of the Louise Hodgkins Trophy. This is presented annually to the best practical student at Duchy College, which has strong links with Paradise Park.

Presentation of the award

The trophy in the shape of a chough has been carved by a local craftsman Roy Hewson, and commemorates Louise Hodgkins a keeper at Paradise Park who died in a road accident last year. Louise is also remembered with an aviary dedicated to her at the Park.
