Minnack Chough

From Bridal Song

The crow, the slanderous cuckoo, nor
The boding raven, nor chough hoar,
Nor chattering pye,
May on our bride-house perch or sing,
Or with them any discord bring,
But from it fly!

William Shakespeare

We were delighted to receive this snapshot of a chough which recently dropped in at the Minnack Theatre.

This bird is almost certainly the young male bird which has red and white leg rings. This bird is often seen between Sennen Cove and Porthgwarra, and regularly delights people at Land's End.

The bird is also known to fly back to the Lizard, and has been spotted flying over Praa Sands.
